What To Expect

Our adoptions are contribution based:  Cats and kittens are $125 - $150 depending on the cat, although sometimes our older cats (3 years and up) are discounted, especially when we need to make room for kittens in the spring and summer.  We may charge a higher rate for more exotic cats and kittens.  We only adopt kittens in pairs (if under six months) or we adopt a single kitten to a household that has an age appropriate companion pet. If we adopt a pair of kittens, we reduce the total adoption fee by $25.

We screen all applicants.  Our screening usually takes one to three days and we'll notify you of the outcome via email.  All information you provide us is confidential and will only be used for screening purposes.  If you rent, we ensure you're allowed pets. If you have a current pet, we check your Vet records to ensure you're getting your pet reasonable care.  You will sign a contract that indicates the pet is to be returned to us in the event you can no longer care for it.

All of our cats have had the following:

> Veterinarian Check

> Spayed and Neutered (or commitment to provide if Foster To Adopt)

> Tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline AIDS

> Vaccines:  The 3 in 1 vaccination provides protection from Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis (FVR), Calicivirus, and Panleukopenia. We don't recommend the Feline Leukemia vaccine for indoor cats.

> Rabies (age appropriate, although most of our kittens aren't adopted until they have had it)

> Treated for parasites (de-worming, de-flea, and ear-mite treated)

Our cats are fostered so we can observe their behaviors and we make recommendations on the best pet for your household.  We also provide outreach after the adoption.

Our adoption partner Petco provides you with an adoption booklet with a coupon for 50% off your first bag of food and other coupons to be used at Petco stores (once validated during the adoption).
